Kawhi Is Here to Stay.

After the Raptors took part in the Kawhi Leonard trade in July, there were several reports that Kawhi Leonard wouldn't even report to the team, much less give an MVP-calibre effort for them.

Since then, his long-time teammate and friend, Danny Green, has said that he finds Leonard to be more open and talkative with this Raptors group than he was in San Antonio.

Whether this new version of Kawhi is because he's the veteran guy now, as opposed to guys like Spurs legends, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, and Tim Duncan, or if it's because he truly feels more "at home" in Toronto than he did with the Spurs, we can't know for sure.

However, regardless of his motives, he seems to be giving a full effort on the court, looking reminiscent of a 2016-'17 Kawhi. He's been extremely productive in limited minutes, and has even shown some chemistry with teammates, particularly CJ Miles, with whom he was seen laughing on the bench in the very first game of the preseason.

So, with that being said, I have a message for those still doubting Kawhi's commitment to the Raptors, at least for this year: he's not going anywhere; Kawhi is here to stay.
