Previewing Toronto Raptors vs. Brooklyn Nets

On Wednesday, October 10, the Raptors play the Brooklyn Nets in their second-last game of the preseason. The Raptors are entering the game with a 2-1 preseason record, while the Nets are entering the game with only one previous game under their belts, a 107-102 loss to the Knicks.

Both teams will likely be short-handed, with the Raptors likely resting a few starters, and the Nets doing the same. The Raptors will, however, gain back their first-round pick from 2017, OG Anunoby, who missed the first three games of the preseason following the passing of his father.

There has been much speculation around the return of OG, as, if Kawhi Leonard plays, the two of them are expected to have extremely similar playing styles, hopefully leading to good chemistry.

As for the Nets, they come in to the matchup against the Raptors with several injuries limiting their lineup. Forward, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson; center, Alan Williams; and point guard, Shabazz Napier are all expected to miss the game, each with lower-body injuries.

Due to injuries, and just an inferior talent level, expect the Nets to lose this game big, with the Raptors playing the end of their bench for an extended period of time, in order to get a better look at some of the newly-picked-up young guys.
